About Bayou la Roux

Serving authentic Cajun food, Bayou la Roux in Downtown Troy celebrated the official grand opening of their new storefront last month. Locals and visitors alike may be familiar with Bayou la Roux, which started out as a food truck in February 2023.

Originally set up at Sips Beer Garden and Food Court, Bayou la Roux has a more permanent location on The Square these days. More specifically, what was once home to Francesca’s has now been transformed into Bayou la Roux.

Since its opening, the full-service restaurant has been dishing up Cajun classics such as “Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo,” “Crawfish Etouffee” and much more.

The menu

As a matter of fact, the menu of Bayou la Roux in Downtown Troy actually has something for every taste, from the bold and adventurous to the usual. There are favorites like blackened or fried catfish or shrimp po’boys, oyster po’boys and gator po’boys.

Then there are favorites such as a French dip and chicken finger baskets. Other options include burgers, salads and sides.
